The pay rate for this position is between $22.00 and $23.00 per hour. This reflects the compensation that Grand Hyatt Indian Wells Resort and Villas reasonably expects to offer, with individual salaries determined based on factors such as experience and education.
The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of all kitchen operations, with the ability to consistently deliver high-quality dishes that exceed guest expectations. Daily responsibilities include overseeing food production, ensuring consistency and quality, managing staffing levels, and providing training within the department. Key skills include culinary expertise, cost control, effective communication, organizational abilities, and a solid understanding of guest service. Additionally, the Cook 4 will be expected to provide leadership and guidance in the absence of the hourly Sous Chef.
Qualifications
- Good Communication skills required.
- At least 4 years of previous line and fine dining experience preferred.
- Culinary degree or related hotel experience preferred.
- Able to work most stations of the kitchen.
- Riverside County Food Handler’s License
