Role Purpose Statement


We are looking for a passionate Costing Intern to turn data into information, information into insight and insight into business decisions. This position will actively contribute to meaningful projects and work closely with a mentor and with senior leadership

MUST BE LOCAL IN DALLAS AS POSITION IS ONSITE


Main Accountabilities

    • Gain insight into the Costing and Pricing processes to support current projects and identify potential improvements
    • Assist with the interpretation of customer specifications
    • Develop and review costs for bills of materials
    • Assist in development of price proposals
    • Identify, analyze, and interpret trends or patterns in complex data sets
    • Support cross-functional and cross-departmental collaboration to ensure data accuracy and contract compliance
    • Support process improvement / process automation initiatives
    • Assist in documentation and reporting for department internal use as well as for senior leadership


Knowledge, Skills and Experience


    • Pursuing a bachelor’s or master’s degree in Business Administration, Finance, Accounting, Industrial Engineering, or a related field.
    • Strong MS excel skills
    • Excellent analytical, mathematical, and problem-solving skills with strong attention to detail.
    • Self-motivated, ability to adapt and process inputs from cross-functional stakeholders
    • Strong time-management skills
    • Familiarity with VBA or Python a plus
