Nemours is seeking a Director of Executive Engagements to work out of our Jacksonville location.


Primary Functions:

In this role, the Director of Executive Engagements performs a range of functions in support, of Nemours leadership prioritizing the office of the President and CEO, externally and with associates. The position provides primary support for executive outreach at an enterprise level, including evaluating opportunities for bylined contributions to scholarly and industry publications, development and coordination of such content, ensuring that engagement opportunities are reviewed and assessed based on a standard set of criteria; responsibility for writing and communications on behalf of the office of the president; development of background/briefing documents in collaboration with Communications, Institutional Advancement, and other Nemours staff. This person will serve as the primary liaison to develop proactive strategies for placement of leaders in preferred settings to establish and enhance the public profile of Nemours with key stakeholders; and coordinate with the Public Relations team to maximize thought leader opportunities from public appearances including media coverage and social media amplification. The Director of Executive Engagements takes an active leadership role to successfully drive, develop, implement, monitor and measure results of the office of the president efforts to advance Nemours strategic plan and business objectives. Manages ongoing relationship with third parties, agencies and contractors. Collaborates with Social Media to develop the social media strategy and execution for the CEO/office of the president with responsibility for keeping such properties current. Essential Functions:

Executive Communications & Engagement:


  • Discretion, professionalism, and the ability to maintain confidentiality with sensitive information.
  • Develop and deliver impactful communication materials, including speeches, talking points, and briefing documents, for executive leadership engagements.
  • Manage the executive engagement calendar, ensuring alignment with strategic priorities and selecting optimal opportunities to showcase Nemours’ leadership.
  • Partner with communications, institutional advancement, and other teams to develop comprehensive engagement strategies.
  • Oversee the development and execution of post-engagement reports, including measurement of return on investment.
  • Serve as a primary liaison with external partners, proactively securing speaking engagements and media placements that enhance Nemours’ visibility and reputation.
  • Serve as a primary liaison with internal partners to identify key internal associate events for the CEO’s participation that support strategy and associate engagement, ensuring the appropriate level of visibility of the office of the president and preparation of speeches, video scripts, and production fulfillment, talking points, slide presentations and more as needed.

Strategic Leadership & Collaboration:

  • Champion the development and implementation of an executive engagement program that aligns with Nemours’ strategic plan and business objectives.
  • Collaborate with executive leadership to set clear goals and objectives for engagement activities.
  • Monitor and measure the effectiveness of the executive engagement program, identifying areas for improvement and continuous optimization.

Relationship Management:


  • Cultivate and manage strong relationships with executive leadership, internal stakeholders, and external partners.
  • Proactively address the needs of executive leadership and ensure clear communication channels.

Job Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree and 10 years’ experience, or Master’s degree and 7 years’ experience.
  • Deep experience supporting executives, writing on behalf of executives, and managing engagements for various audiences including board meetings, staff meetings, and external conference presentations.
  • Must possess high personal motivation supporting a strong work ethic, flexibility, and creativity.
  • Must possess the ability to inspire trust and confidence from executive leadership, and maintain a high degree of professionalism and confidentiality.
