What You Will Do:
The Director of Network Design will lead the development and optimization of the company’s distribution network strategy and design. This role is responsible for leading a team to analyze data, model scenarios, and develop recommendations to improve service levels, reduce costs, and enhance overall supply chain efficiency. The Director will collaborate with various stakeholders to ensure alignment and successful implementation of network design initiatives.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Strategic Leadership: Develop and implement a comprehensive network design strategy aligned with the company’s overall business objectives and supply chain strategy. This includes defining the long-term vision for the network and establishing short-term and long-term goals.
- Network Optimization: Lead the analysis, modeling, and optimization of the distribution network, including warehouse locations, transportation routes, inventory levels, and material flow. Identify opportunities to improve service levels, reduce transportation costs, optimize inventory, and enhance overall efficiency.
- Data Analysis & Modeling: Utilize advanced data analysis techniques and modeling tools to evaluate network performance and develop scenarios for optimization. This includes analyzing historical data, forecasting future demand, and simulating various network configurations.
- Project Management: Oversee the execution of network design projects, from initial assessment to implementation. Develop project plans, manage timelines and budgets, and communicate progress to stakeholders.
- Technology Implementation: Evaluate and implement new technologies and tools to enhance network design and optimization capabilities. This may include network modeling software, transportation management systems (TMS), warehouse management systems (WMS), and other relevant technologies.
- Collaboration: Work collaboratively with various stakeholders, including Operations, Sales, Marketing, Finance, and IT, to ensure alignment and successful implementation of network design initiatives. Build strong cross-functional relationships.
- Team Management: Lead, manage, and mentor a team of network design professionals, providing guidance, support, and development opportunities. Foster a collaborative and high-performing team environment.
- Performance Measurement: Establish key performance indicators (KPIs) to track and monitor network performance. Develop dashboards and reports to communicate progress to senior management and identify areas for improvement. Benchmark performance against industry best practices.
- Continuous Improvement: Foster a culture of continuous improvement within the network design function, encouraging innovation and best practice sharing.
- Market Analysis: Stay abreast of industry trends, competitive landscape, and emerging technologies in the field of network design and optimization. Identify opportunities to leverage best practices and gain a competitive advantage.
- Budget Management: Develop and manage the budget for network design initiatives, ensuring efficient allocation of resources.
What We Are Looking For:
Required Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management , Logistics, Engineering, or a related field.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in supply chain management, with at least 3 years in a leadership role focused on demand, network design or optimization.
- Strong understanding of network design principles, methodologies, and best practices.
- Proven experience in leading and implementing successful network optimization projects.
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
- Proficiency in network modeling software and other relevant technologies.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to influence and build consensus across different functions.
- Experience managing budgets and resources.

Additional Benefits Information As Follows:
Salary Range: $126,900-$184,000
