Provide leadership in the church's feeding ministries, including the mobile grocery store, food pantry, daycare and the Father’s Farm


Mobile market:

·   To coordinate with the city, state, and federal governments in securing, managing, and appropriating resources in support of the mobile market

·   To identify and recruit partners from the philanthropic and business sectors as supporters


·   Establish relationships with local, state, regional, national, and international organizations committed to challenging hunger and food deserts and working closely with our existing partners.

·   Establish relationships with Far Eastside community organizations, housing developments, government entities, and individuals to secure community buy-in and support.


·   To strategically coordinate grocery distributions by 1) identifying community delivery sites within a one-mile radius of the church. 2) coordinating pick-up and/or delivery of foods from the wholesalers. 3) shelving the products on the mobile unit. 4) recruiting, supervising, and providing customer service training opportunities for employees/volunteers to work the market. 5) coordinate periodic cooking demos and food preparation workshops for our customers. 6) report to the budget director concerning all financial matters, sales receipts, donations, or incomes.

·   Make sure all equipment is maintained, properly serviced, and clean.


·   To share ideas with the Chief of Staff and the ministry team about how the operations may run more smoothly and efficiently and the possibility of expanding the program.


Food pantry:

·   Work as a resource person for the existing food pantry leadership team to assist in the operation.

·   Work as the liaison between the food pantry and the administration (Chief of Staff).


·   Help to recruit volunteers from the church and neighborhood.

Father’s Farm:


·      Coordinate with the staff and church to recruit volunteers to work the farm.

·      Secure professional farmer to help maximize the annual yield for the food pantry and mobile market.


·      Seek funding to support the farm.


Daycare:

·      Develop Menus

·      Manage food preparation


·      Ensuring health and safety compliance


SKILLS & EXPERIENCE

Qualifications: AA degree or better in food service or business management


Experience: 3 years of food service, business management/community-based organization management


Skills:

· Intermediate to advanced Microsoft Office skills (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook)

· Excellent verbal, written communication and supervisory skills


· Organized and able to meet deadlines

· Fast learner, team player, passion for the community



PERFORMANCE GOALS:


· Complete administration tasks on time

· Deal with clients, suppliers, and other employees professionally at all times
