Position Overview:



The Director of the Office of the CIO has a pivotal leadership role within Warner Bros. Discovery. This position is responsible for driving strategic planning, fostering creativity and innovation, and enhancing team communications. The individual will work closely with the CIO and other senior leaders to ensure the alignment of technological initiatives with the company’s dynamic goals, manage key projects, and facilitate effective senior meetings. Emphasizing creativity and innovation, this role is essential in propelling Warner Bros. Discovery’s technological vision forward.

Key Responsibilities:


Team Communications

  • Foster a culture of open communication and collaboration within the IT team and across other departments.

  • Develop and execute communication strategies that keep all stakeholders informed about IT initiatives, progress, and outcomes.

  • Act as a liaison between the CIO and the broader IT team, ensuring alignment and clarity in all communications.

  • Provide regular updates to senior leadership on the status of key projects and initiatives.

Effective Senior Meetings


  • Coordinate and facilitate senior leadership meetings, summits, and offsites, ensuring they are productive and focused on strategic priorities.

  • Prepare meeting agendas, materials, and presentations to support effective decision-making.

  • Track action items and follow up on commitments made during senior meetings.

  • Ensure that meeting outcomes are communicated clearly and implemented effectively.

Strategic Planning and Business Operations

  • Partner with the CIO and SLT to develop and communicate key strategic plans and outcomes

  • Partner with our Technology Business Management team to ensure data driven management decisions are supported – identifying and improving our KPI and OKR frameworks.

  • Evaluate and prioritize strategic IT projects, ensuring they deliver maximum value to the organization.

Leadership and Management


  • Provide leadership and direction to a team of IT professionals, fostering their development and growth.

  • Manage the recruitment, retention, and performance of team members.

  • Ensure that the team operates efficiently and effectively, delivering high-quality results on time and within budget.

  • Promote a culture of continuous improvement and excellence within the team.

Collaboration and Partnership

  • Partner with the Enterprise Architecture, Strategy, and PMO teams to ensure groupwide outcomes.

  • Drive agenda setting and foster collaboration among the Senior leadership team.

  • Assist the CIO in driving an effective communication and meeting culture.


Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Business Administration, or a related field

  • 10+ years of experience in IT management, with a focus on strategic planning, business operations, or PMO.

  • Proven track record of leading successful IT initiatives in a large, multi-national organization.

  • Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to influence and build consensus among senior leaders.

  • Strong project management skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities and deliver results.

  • Experience in facilitating senior leadership meetings and driving effective decision-making.

  • Ability to think strategically and act operationally, balancing long-term goals with immediate needs.

In compliance with local law, we are disclosing the compensation, or a range thereof, for roles in locations where legally required. Actual salaries will vary based on several factors, including but not limited to external market data, internal equity, location, skill set, experience, and/or performance. Base pay is just one component of Warner Bros. Discovery’s total compensation package for employees. Pay Range: $127,330.00 – $236,470.00 salary per year. Other rewards may include annual bonuses, short- and long-term incentives, and program-specific awards. In addition, Warner Bros. Discovery provides a variety of benefits to employees, including health insurance coverage, an employee wellness program, life and disability insurance, a retirement savings plan, paid holidays and sick time and vacation.
