Content Operations is ultimately responsible for successfully delivering entertainment and sports content to millions of people every day. This involves developing, operating, and leading a global content supply chain – the myriad of steps involved from taking a finalized TV show/movie, or live piece of content, from inside Disney to audiences around the globe, in their preferred language and format. This team also leads technology operations in Latin America, Europe and Asia Pacific.

The Distribution Operations team is seeking an organized and detail-oriented Distribution Operations Manager, Dubbing to oversee the production and delivery of high-quality localized content. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of the dubbing process, excellent communication skills, and the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously in a fast-paced environment.



Responsibilities:

  • Plan, schedule, and manage all phases of the dubbing process, from pre-production to final delivery.
  • Create and manage project timelines, budgets, payments, and resource allocation.
  • Liaise with clients to understand project requirements and expectations.
  • Collaborate with global dubbing vendors, dubbing studios, and Disney regional offices to ensure timely and accurate deliverables.
  • Build and maintain relationships with Disney business team in each region, regional operation offices, dub studios and global dubbing vendors.
  • Ensure dubbing projects meet linguistic, cultural, and technical quality standards.
  • Ensure dub quality meets Disney quality standards.
  • Monitor vendor spent from project start to finish to stay on budget.
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for clients throughout the project lifecycle.
  • Provide regular status updates, manage feedback loops, and address concerns promptly.
  • Coordinate with internal teams, including Technology, Engineering, Planning, Mastering, Servicing, Total Quality Management, Programming to streamline workflows.
  • Ensure the timely and accurate completion of Assignment of Rights.
  • Monitor vendor performance to ensure milestones are met.
  • Identify potential project risks and implement contingency plans.
  • Troubleshoot and manage rejection from clients and streaming platforms, perform root cause analysis, fix the reported issue, and oversee redelivery.
  • Responsible dubbing territories: UCAN, EMEA, LATAM, APAC.
  • Understand digital content distribution pipelines and technology including EHV, TVOD, SVOD, AVOD, PayTV, Hotels, etc.
  • Uphold the department’s ISO certification requirements, ensuring compliance through continuous process improvement and monitoring of metrics

Basic Qualifications


  • 5 years of experience in dubbing, localization, media project management, or related experience.
  • Strong knowledge of dubbing workflows, including lip-syncing, voice casting, and sound editing.
  • Proficiency with project management tools.
  • Excellent organizational and multitasking skills.
  • Exceptional communication skills.
  • Familiarity with multiple languages and cultural nuances is a plus.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Media Production, Communications, or a related field (or equivalent experience).

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience in managing large-scale multilingual projects.
  • Knowledge of digital distribution supply chain workflow.
  • Working experience in dubbing studio/vendor for high profile shows

The hiring range for this position in California is $94,200 to $115,000 per year based on a 40 hour work week. The amount of hours scheduled per week may vary based on business needs. The base pay actually offered will take into account internal equity and also may vary depending on the candidate’s geographic region, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience among other factors. A bonus and/or long-term incentive units may be provided as part of the compensation package, in addition to the full range of medical, financial, and/or other benefits, dependent on the level and position offered.
