We are seeking an experienced and highly motivated individual to join our team as an Event Security Manager with the Security Department. This position will be responsible for supporting security leadership in overseeing the event security team and operations at PHX Arena. This includes assisting with the management and training of security staff, overseeing event preparation and execution including NBA, WNBA, Concerts and Other Events, maintaining security policies and procedures, coordinating with event organizers to implement security plans, and responding to emergencies and incidents as needed.



What Will You Do: 

  • Manage game night team members to include but not limited to hiring, training, discipline, coaching, resolving grievances, submit payroll and terminations when necessary.
  • Advance communication regarding security or staffing requests, create staff deployment and posting sheet, conduct briefings and support event operations.
  • Set work hours and assignments, determine techniques to perform work, and distribute work among game night team members.
  • Understands and leverages strengths and actively identifies development opportunities for self and others.
  • Conduct interviews for potential new hires and assisting in the hiring process of potential candidates
  • Contribute and lead relevant sections of new hire orientation sessions for both full-time and part-time team members.
  • Operates as a key contact for clarification, guidance, or course correction.
  • Development and training of Event Security Officers, Specialists, and Team Captains.
  • Provide report writing training to the event staff and oversee the entering of incident reports into the reporting database (24/7 Software).
  • Ongoing assessment of security team members and operations.

What We Need from Our Event Security Manager:

  • High School Diploma or equivalent
  • ASIS International APP preferred.
  • NCS4 CSVS preferred.
  • 3-5 years of Security Supervision experience
  • 1-2 years of Training experience
  • Experience in large entertainment or sport venue event security operations
