The Events Coordinator position requires an enthusiastic, high energy individual who likes both the details involved in planning an event and also the interpersonal skills required to execute the event. The job entails research, development, planning, executing and clean-up of resort public events.

The Events Coordinator will oversee the events department if the Events Manager is ever off-site. The Events Coordinator position will spend around 50% or more of their time outdoors working. Position must be willing to work all weekends, holidays, early mornings and late nights.



Essential Job Responsibilities:

  • Assist with the creation of resort public events
  • Assist with the development of creative concepts for event materials (t-shirts, posters, programs, etc.)
  • Assist with sponsorship fulfillments
  • Assist with internal communication of events
  • Transportation, set-up and tear-down of event venues and equipment
  • Assist with training and guidance of volunteer crew
  • Event emcee as required
  • Will work with Mountain Events Manager and other departments to increase awareness of TSV special events
  • Reliable attendance on all scheduled workdays

  • Other duties as assigned

Qualifications/Knowledge

  • Ability to work a flexible schedule including weekends, holidays, early mornings and evenings.

  • Ability to speak, read, and communicate clearly in English
  • Skiing or snowboarding at an intermediate level or higher
  • Advanced computer skills
  • Previous event experience and/or on-mountain experience an asset
  • Must be able to lift 50 lbs.

Work Environment:


Must be able to work in a fast-paced environment. TSVI is in a high-altitude alpine environment. Position may require travel on uneven, snow-packed, or icy terrain and may be exposed to wet, cold, and/or humid conditions.

Physical Demands of Position Include:


Approximately 50% of this position’s time is spent inside, and 50% outside on both level/uneven terrain. Position may require travel on uneven, snow-packed, or icy terrain. The position will be required to spend long days outside in cold and snow. Must be able to lift 50 lbs. The position requires at least an intermediate level of skiing/riding ability.
