Job Title: Facilities Maintenance Technician
Salary: 22.00 – 35.00 / Hour
Shift: 1st Shift
Summary: Are you a hands-on problem solver with a knack for troubleshooting and repairing industrial equipment? As a Facilities Maintenance Technician, you’ll play a crucial role in ensuring our facility and machinery – including CNC and other industrial equipment-operate at peak performance. From preventative maintenance to emergency repairs, your expertise will help keep production running smoothly and efficiently.
Job Responsibilities:
- Perform routine maintenance, troubleshooting, and repairs on CNC machines, conveyors, hydraulic presses, and other production equipment.
- Develop and follow scheduled maintenance plans to minimize downtime and improve equipment lifespan.
- Ensure CNC and other precision equipment are properly calibrated and functioning at optimal efficiency.
- Maintain and repair building infrastructure, lighting, HVAC, plumbing, and electrical systems to support production.
- Respond to breakdowns quickly to minimize disruptions in production.
- Document maintenance activities, equipment performance, and repair logs for compliance and future reference.
- Assist in the installation, relocation, and upgrades of machines and facility components.
- Adhere to OSHA and company safety standards while working with industrial machinery and hazardous materials.
- Assist in diagnosing and resetting programmable logic controllers (PLCs) as needed.
- Track and manage spare parts and tools to ensure critical components are readily available.
- Identify which jobs are handled internally and which are contracted out for maximum efficiency
- Proactively identify and anticipate maintenance needs and execute strategy to address any issues/needs
Qualifications / Requirements:
- 2 year technical school degree, 2+ years proven industrial or manufacturing experience preferred
- Strong mechanical, electrical, and troubleshooting and problem solving skills
- Experience with CNC machines, hydraulics, pneumatics, and industrial automation systems
- Ability to read blueprints, schematics, and technical manualsBasic understanding of PLCs, VFDs, and electrical control systems (preferred)
- Welding and fabrication experience (a plus)
- Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work independently
- Certifications in industrial maintenance, HVAC, or electrical work (preferred but not required)
- Strong ability to shift priorities
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Ability to be a strong team player and able to work independently with little to no supervision
