Description:WHAT WE’RE DOING
The AN/MPQ-64A4 Sentinel A4 Radar System is one of the new keystone programs within the Lockheed Martin IWSS Multi-Mission Air Defense Portfolio. A fully digital Active Electronically Scanned Array (AESA) Radar that is at the forefront of current Radar Technology, the Sentinel A4 will be a force multiplier for the warfighter that will provide the US Army customer with capabilities for the modern dynamic battlefield.
The AN/MPQ-64A4 Sentinel, or Sentinel A4, is a three-dimensional X-band phased array radar system equipped to support beyond visual range air defense engagements. The Sentinel A4 is a modification to the Sentinel A3. The Sentinel A4 will provide new components to add detection, classification, identification, and reporting capability against Rocket, Artillery, and Mortar (RAM) threats to support the Integrated Fire Protection Capability (IFPC) Increment 2-Intercept Block 2 mission. It also addresses current Sentinel A3 obsolescence issues and improves existing Sentinel capability against Cruise Missile (CM), Unmanned Aerial System (UAS), Rotary Wing (RW), and Fixed Wing (FW) threats. The Sentinel A4 is Mode 5 capable allowing it to identify and interface with US Military and allied aircraft in a complex environment.

WHO YOU ARE
The position is an opportunity to work within a fast-paced, team-oriented environment supporting a new but experienced radar Field Engineering Team. In this role, the candidate will be a vital member of the Sentinel A4 Syracuse team supporting maintenance and configuration management of the fielded Sentinel A4 systems. The candidate will be supporting multiple roles and duties daily. These duties include but are not limited to:
1. Supporting test events at Syracuse, and if needed, at CONUS test facilities
2. Troubleshooting radar systems and their associated subsystems. Inspecting mechanical and electronic system components for deficiencies and malfunctions.
3. Repair, Remove, and Replace defective components and parts
4. Preventative Maintenance on fielded systems and ensuring operational availability of the sold-off systems.
5. Administrative duties as it pertains to the following activities
a. Configuration Management of Systems within LMCO’s control
b. Assisting the Repair Maintenance Activity (RMA) Process to ensure parts are sent out to vendor repair and returned in a timely fashion.
c. Hardware Requisitions
d. Government Furnished Property (GFP) management: working with LMCO personnel and Gov’t entities to ensure that GFP is inventoried, stored, and managed properly.
e. Prepare and maintain equipment logs in existing program databases as required.
6. Perform other duties as assigned by the team lead:
a. Emergency callouts and support
b. General Lab organization and support
c. Support of other events and teammates as required.
Most of the work will be conducted at the LMCO Syracuse facility. The candidate will be required to support domestic and international travel (Low, Medium, and High Risk) as needed.

Basic Qualifications:
1) Domestic travel and or international travel to low, medium, and high-risk security level countries is
required.

2) Candidate must be able to demonstrate the ability to work requiring general direction and guidance.



3) Candidate must be able to demonstrate skills utilizing different pieces of test equipment. Examples like Fiber Optic Test Tools (i.e. interferometer, meters, etc.), Digital Oscilloscope, Logic Analyzer, Signal
Generator, etc.

4) Strong written and verbal communications skills required.


5) Proficient using MS Office Software including Excel, Access, PowerPoint, Word, and Outlook.
Desired Skills:
1) Experience with Sentinel related sub-systems.

2) Previous field engineering/ system support experience supporting a Department of Defense program.


3) Ability to learn via on-the-job training.

4) J-standard Soldering Qualification or Circuit Card Soldering experience


5) Fiber Optics repair/cleaning/polishing/termination

Ability to Work Remotely: Onsite Full-time: The work associated with this position will be performed onsite at a designated Lockheed Martin facility.
Work Schedules: Lockheed Martin supports a variety of alternate work schedules that provide additional flexibility to our employees. Schedules range from standard 40 hours over a five day work week while others may be condensed. These condensed schedules provide employees with additional time away from the office and are in addition to our Paid Time off benefits.
Schedule for this Position: 4×10 hour day, 3 days off per week
Pay Rate: The annual base salary range for this position in California and New York (excluding most major metropolitan areas), Colorado, Hawaii, Illinois, Maryland, Minnesota, Washington or Washington DC is $73,800 – $130,180. For states not referenced above, the salary range for this position will reflect the candidate’s final work location. Please note that the salary information is a general guideline only. Lockheed Martin considers factors such as (but not limited to) scope and responsibilities of the position, candidate’s work experience, education/ training, key skills as well as market and business considerations when extending an offer.
Benefits offered: Medical, Dental, Vision, Life Insurance, Short-Term Disability, Long-Term Disability, 401(k) match, Flexible Spending Accounts, EAP, Education Assistance, Parental Leave, Paid time off, and Holidays.
(Washington state applicants only) Non-represented full-time employees: accrue at least 10 hours per month of Paid Time Off (PTO) to be used for incidental absences and other reasons; receive at least 90 hours for holidays. Represented full time employees accrue 6.67 hours of Vacation per month; accrue up to 52 hours of sick leave annually; receive at least 96 hours for holidays. PTO, Vacation, sick leave, and holiday hours are prorated based on start date during the calendar year.
This position is incentive plan eligible.
