DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
Under general direction and in accordance with all applicable federal, state and local laws/regulations and Corporate Johnson & Johnson, procedures and guidelines, this position:
- Conduct all planning activities for one of Ethicon’s external manufacturers
- Develop detailed supply plans that will be used to coordinate production at the external manufacturer
- Own the end-to-end Order Management process, including placing new purchase orders, developing purchase forecasts, and performing virtual receipts
- Identify and escalate product vulnerabilities to cross-functional business partners and stakeholders
- Improve capabilities and effectiveness of the Sales & Operations Planning process
- Monitor and report on key performance metrics, while offering insights and suggestions on how to improve the business
- Be empowered to design and implement improvements to new and existing processes that will benefit the Planning team and broader organization
- Become a team Subject Matter Expert for multiple ERP systems, including SAP and JD Edwards
- Utilize various Data Visualization and Analytics tools such as Tableau and SQL to own and execute critical reports and dashboards for multiple Supply Chain teams
- Have the chance to lead a continuous improvement project from planning through implementation, with the end goal being a Lean Yellow Belt Certification from JNJ
- Responsible for communicating business related issues or opportunities to next management level
- For those who supervise or manage a staff, responsible for ensuring that subordinates follow all Company guidelines related to Health, Safety and Environmental practices and that all resources needed to do so are available and in good condition, if applicable.
- Responsible for ensuring personal and Company compliance with all Federal, State, local and Company regulations, policies, and procedures
- Performs other duties assigned as needed.
EXPERIENCE AND EDUCATION
- Must be permanently authorized to work in the U.S., must not require sponsorship of an employment visa (e.g., H-1B or green card) at the time of application or in the future. Students currently on CPT, OPT, or STEM OPT usually require future sponsorship for long term employment and do not meet the requirements for this program unless eligible for an alternative long-term status that does not require company sponsorship.
- Enrolled in an accredited college/university pursuing an undergraduate degree in Supply Chain, Engineering, or related field.
- Minimum GPA of 3.0
- Available to work full-time (40 hrs/week) with reliable transportation to and from the site. (Classes, if required, will be taken during evenings or weekends.)
- Detail-oriented, organized and possess strong analytical/problem-solving skills
- Open to receiving feedback and putting it into practice • Self-starter with a continuous improvement mindset • Thrive in a global cross-functional team environment
- Proficiency with Microsoft Excel (formulas, data visualization, good design practices)
Preferred, but not required:
- Previous intern or co-op experience
- Experience with Lean or other continuous improvement methodologies
- Advanced level of proficiency with Microsoft Excel
- Experience with SQL and/or ERP systems

The anticipated base pay range for this position is :
22$ per hour to 51.50$ per hour
Additional Description for Pay Transparency:
The anticipated base pay for this position is between 22$ per hour and 51.50$ per hour but will be based on candidate’s program year, discipline, degree and/or experience. This position is overtime eligible. Intern/Co-ops may be eligible to participate in Company employee benefit programs such as medical insurance, sick time, holiday pay, and the Company’s consolidated retirement plan in accordance with the terms of the applicable plans. Housing stipend will be offered for those that qualify. This position is ineligible for severance.
