We are looking for a Granulating Operator to learn to operate in a manufacturing process that provides global customers with high quality borate materials.

Reporting to the Production Supervisor and working in a diverse team at our Boron Operations, you will be:

  • Operating 1 of the following areas: crystallizer, granulating, and dryer.
  • Communicating effectively and correctly log production information.
  • Monitoring, troubleshooting, and responding to plant conditions.
  • Ability to work with hot borate liquors, chemicals, and steam in a safe manner.
  • Capable of operating large manual valves and using basic tools in a safe manner.
  • Capable of performing all other tasks, duties and assignments that may be required as part of qualifications listed above.

What you’ll bring


  • A commitment to the safety of yourself and your team.
  • High school diploma or GED.
  • Ability to work any schedule.
  • Experience with pumps, valves, belt conveyors, elevators, screens, screw conveyors, cooling towers, heat exchangers, mixers, filtration equipment, crystallizers, dryers, sampling equipment, instrumentation.
  • Basic chemical knowledge (pH, solubility, concentration)
  • Knowledge of basic instruments, thermocouples, level devices, flow meters, pressure switches, zero speed switches.
  • Capable of operating large manual valves and using basic tools in a safe manner.
  • A high level of interpersonal, teamwork, and intermediate computer skills.
  • Valid driver’s license
