We are seeking a highly skilled Associate to join our Healthcare team in our Los Angeles, CA office. The ideal candidate will have 2-5 years of civil litigation experience and a familiarity with medical malpractice or elder abuse law. All candidates must be licensed and in good standing with the California Bar.

We handle complex matters such as reimbursement disputes with private payors, CMS, and Medicaid. We also address allegations of elder abuse, professional malpractice, and issues involving vendors and business associates. Additionally, we provide guidance to clients on maintaining compliance with CMS guidelines and federal and State healthcare-specific laws including Stark and Anti-Kickback, HIPAA, the Texas Medical Privacy Act, the California Medical Privacy Act, and other operational matters.

 Ideal Candidate

• Providing legal counsel and advocacy on behalf of clients
• Handling all written discovery from service to completion
• Preparing for and attending trials as needed
• Communicating professionally with clients, colleagues, and opposing counsel
• Capable of developing and carrying out overall litigation strategy
• Proficient in all aspects of written discovery and depositions
• Experienced in preparing and arguing motions
• Able to handle pre-trial preparation responsibilities
• Conducting legal research and analysis

Requirements:

• Candidate must be licensed to practice in CA and good standing
• Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree from an accredited law school
• 2 – 5 years of Civil Litigation
• Must have familiarity with medical malpractice or elder abuse law

Salary/Compensation:

• $140,000 – $160,000 
• This position is eligible for an annual discretionary bonus.
• The salary within that range will depend on the selected candidate’s years of practice and experience.
