    Job Description

    ELB Learning is seeking a highly skilled Instructional Designer/Developer to support one of our esteemed clients. This role is ideal for a talented professional with expertise in designing and developing engaging, scenario-based eLearning courses. The successful candidate will collaborate with Subject Matter Experts (SMEs) and leverage advanced development tools to create custom learning experiences that exceed traditional templates.

    Key Responsibilities

    Instructional Design:


    • Partner with SMEs to gather requirements, extract critical information, and understand training needs.
    • Design custom, interactive, and scenario-based eLearning solutions that enhance learner engagement.
    • Develop clear, concise course material using SME interviews and source content.
    • Think beyond standard eLearning interactions (e.g., flip cards, accordions) to create innovative learning experiences.

    Course Development:

    • Develop courses primarily using Articulate Storyline and secondarily with Articulate Rise.
    • Build advanced, custom interactions using states, layers, variables, and other development features in Storyline.
    • Incorporate strong graphic design elements to create visually compelling courses.
    • Develop supplemental materials such as job aids and quick-reference guides.

    Collaboration and Communication:


    • Work closely with cross-functional teams, including SMEs, project managers, and stakeholders.
    • Ensure deliverables meet high-quality standards and align with client expectations.

    Qualifications

    • Proven experience in instructional design and eLearning development.
    • Proficiency in Articulate Storyline (primary) and Articulate Rise (secondary).
    • Advanced skills in creating custom interactions using Storyline features like layers, states, and variables.
    • Strong graphic design skills and working knowledge of Adobe Creative Suite (preferred).
    • Excellent communication and organizational skills.
    • Ability to work independently and meet deadlines.

    Additional Details

    • Location: Remote (ET, CT, MT, or PT Work Hours)
    • Employment Type: 6-Month Contract, 1099
    • Hours per Week: Contract basis, estimated up to 40hrs/wk. (subject to verification by our client)
    • Hourly Rate: $50 – $65/hour
