Irrigation Technician 3 – Greater Tampa Bay Area

Ballenger Landcare is a commercial specialist that provides responsible water management consulting, design and maintenance services for master planned community developers, commercial landscape architects and property management firms.
 

Duties
– Install and repair irrigation systems for commercial properties
– Perform routine maintenance on irrigation systems, including adjusting sprinkler heads and replacing damaged components
– Troubleshoot and diagnose issues with irrigation systems, such as leaks or low water pressure
– Ensure proper water distribution and coverage for lawns, gardens, and landscapes
– Dig trenches and install pipes, valves, and other irrigation system components
– Operate power tools and hand tools to complete installation and repair tasks
– Collaborate with landscaping teams to coordinate irrigation system installation with overall landscape design
– Provide recommendations for improving irrigation system efficiency and water conservation
 

Requirements
– Previous experience as a Supervisor/Manager in Irrigation or similar role REQUIRED
– Strong mechanical knowledge and ability to use power tools and hand tools effectively
– Knowledge of garden and landscape maintenance practices
– Familiarity with irrigation system components, such as pipes, valves, sprinkler heads, and controllers
– Ability to dig trenches and perform physically demanding tasks as needed
– Understanding of lawn care principles and water management practices
– Excellent problem-solving skills to diagnose and resolve irrigation system issues
– Detail-oriented with a focus on accuracy in installation and repair work
– Valid driver's license
