We are seeking an Emergency Medicine Physician to collaborate with our highly skilled teams at IU Health Ball Memorial Hospital in Muncie, IN. IU Health Ball Memorial Hospital is a community hospital with 360 beds, serving as a tertiary referral center and teaching hospital for east central Indiana. Its referral base is approximately 500,000 spanning a 10-county area. This position will also split time and provide coverage at IU Health Jay Hospital which is a critical access hospital serving Portland, IN.
Muncie is a charming city filled with life and culture thanks to its proximity to Ball State University. Located just an hour northeast of Indianapolis, Muncie offers the advantages of larger cities without some of the hassles of living in a major metropolitan area.
Position Details:
- Full-Time – clinical and academic role with some administrative options if desired
- Quarterly scheduling offering more flexibility
- Outstanding clinical opportunity with an academic system and affiliation with Indiana University School of Medicine
- Offers a blend of level 3 trauma experience, teaching opportunities, and coverage at a critical access location
- 30-40% coverage at Ball Memorial and 60-70% at Jay Hospital
- Dual employment with the IU School of Medicine and IU Health Physicians
Qualifications:
- Candidate must be Board Eligible or Board Certified in Emergency Medicine
- Open to residents, fellows and practicing physicians

IU Health Ball Memorial Hospital is a 379-bed hospital and is designated as a level 3 trauma center. It is both a teaching hospital and a regional tertiary referral center. Over the last decade, the hospital has undergone a $130 million remodel and currently serves over 82,700 patients daily.
