Taos Ski Valley, Inc.

The essential duty of the Kachina Basin Setup & Breakdown Lead is to ensure that the Kachina Basin Food & Beverage outlets are ready for daily operation. Snow removal and equipment setup & breakdown daily is the name of the game. Each day will require early arrival, a large ski break in the middle of the day, and prompt breakdown at the end of the day.

Essential Job Responsibilities:


  • Timely and diligent setup of the Kachina Basin Food & Beverage outlets.
  • Daily snow removal at the Bavarian.
  • Requires early and independent arrival.
  • Daily set of the Bavarian Beer Garden and Phoenix Deck furniture.
  • Ancillary snow removal at the Phoenix deck, working with Base Area Maintenance to accomplish a safe area for guests.
  • Daily Breakdown of Phoenix Deck and Bavarian Beer Garden.
  • Reliable attendance on all scheduled workdays
  • Ability to work a flexible schedule including weekends, holidays, and evenings.
  • Other duties as assigned

Work Environment:


This position will be 100% outdoors and will require the job to be performed regardless of the conditions. Taos Ski Valley, Inc. is often a fast-paced work environment, especially during Holiday and Peak days. TSVI is located in a high-altitude alpine environment. Position may require travel on uneven, snow-packed, or icy terrain and may be exposed to wet, cold, and/or humid conditions.

Physical Demands of Position Include:


Will often lift or team lift up to 100 pounds, 90% of the time spent standing, walking, climbing, and occasionally sitting less than 10% of the time.

Background Check:


Positions dealing with children, of safety-sensitive and/or confidential nature, require driving or positions that handle cash may require a background check and MVR check. Employment is contingent upon a favorable background check and MVR check.
