Lemon Law Attorney

Career Consulting Partners has partnered with a thriving consumer law firm. We seek ambitious attorneys, seeking growth, a clear career path, and vertical advancement. This position will be out of our Office in Downtown Los Angeles. Our law firm specializes in Lemon Law Litigation and has won verdicts and settlements for defects such as engines, batteries, motors, shaking, brakes, and misalignments for added insight. We provide a very collaborative and collegial work environment for attorneys who are interested in challenging well-known auto manufacturers. The ideal candidate will have a demonstrated passion for protecting consumer rights, strong legal research and writing skills, and a track record of success in litigation. You will have heavy involvement in motions, depositions, and trials.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Advise clients on their rights under state and federal lemon laws.
• Evaluate cases to determine eligibility for lemon law claims.
• Prepare and file legal documents, including demand letters, complaints, motions, and settlement agreements.
• Conduct legal research and draft persuasive legal memoranda.
• Represent clients in negotiations with manufacturers and dealerships.
• Take and defend depositions.
• Litigate cases through pre-trial, trial, and potential appeals.
• Maintain case files and keep clients up-to-date on the status of their cases.

REQUIREMENTS:

• J.D. from an accredited law school.
• Active license to practice law in the state of California.
• 1-3+ years of experience in civil litigation, with a preference for experience in consumer law BUT not required.
• Deep understanding of state and federal lemon laws.
• Superior legal research and writing skills.
• Excellent courtroom advocacy and negotiation skills.
• Strong client service orientation.
• Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively with a team.

COMPENSATION BENEFITS:

• Compensation: $100,000 – $160,000
