Job Title:

Job Summary:

Plans, directs, coordinates, and manages the daily business and administrative operations of Facilities Services. Participates in the development, interpretation and implementation of short and long-range strategic goals and policies and procedures.


Education & Experience

Education and Experience Required: Bachelor’s degree and four (4) years of related experience.


Certifications, Licenses or Registration Required: N/A.



Knowledge, Skills & Abilities

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities: Knowledge of business and management principles involved in strategic planning, resource allocation, leadership technique, and coordination of people and resources. Problem resolution skills. Verbal and written communication skills. Interpersonal skills to interact with a wide range of constituencies. Skill in the use of personal computers and related software applications. Organizational skills. Ability to implement policies and procedures. Ability to prioritize projects. Ability to analyze and prepare applicable reports and documentation.

Responsibilities:

  • Oversees the daily operations of Planning Design and Construction to ensure service level and client satisfaction.


  • Supervises the activities of staff to include work allocation and performance evaluation. Manages and coordinates the day-to-day staffing and operations of the department, including special projects, ensuring compliance with all relevant university policies and procedures.

  • Collaborates in the development and implementation of short-and long-range departmental goals, objectives, strategic plans, policies, and operating procedures; monitors and evaluates programmatic and operational effectiveness and implements measures to improve services.


  • Coordinates activities with other relevant staff to implement initiatives and improve the delivery of services.

  • Monitors and manages project and departmental budgets.


  • Manages special projects as needed and ensures completion within defined scope and timelines.

  • Prepares, reviews, analyzes, and interprets relevant documentation, reports, and forecasts. Ensures reports are submitted within the applicable time frame.



  • Works with departmental leaders on special projects and committees.

  • Facilitate and collaborate the planning, execution and support of project schedules.



  • Provide coordination, serve as point of contact, and act as liaison for assigned projects.

(occasional-up to 20%, frequent-from 21% to 50%, constant-51% or more).
