Qualifications:
- Minimum 2 years’ experience in a high-volume, multi-faceted hospitality operation or hotel/country club pool. Red Cross Certified in CPR and First Aid.
- Excellent leadership, time management, interpersonal, oral and written communication skills
- Ability to multi-task as well as manage multi-faceted projects to successful conclusion
- Diverse, fast-paced, deadline driven, multi-project coordination, prioritizing and flexing to accommodate last minute requests and changes.
- Must be able to lift and carry items of 50 pounds or more.
- Must be able to work any assigned shift or day of week with an emphasis working weekends.
Essential Functions:
- Responsible for the supervision of all staff members
- Ensures that proper staffing and service levels are maintained
- Responsible for sales and reservations of pool amenities, including cabanas, bar and food service, hot tubs and VIP bottle service
- Must ensure flawless food and beverage service.
- Ensures staff members are making timely follow-up calls to all VIP pool guests to ensure satisfaction and to cultivate repeat business
- Works with the sales team supporting poolside banquet events
- Actively solicits new clientele; continuously evaluates and identifies potential business from existing and new clients.
- Up-sells amenities to existing guests.
- Responsible for cleanliness, organization, exceptional guest service and safe operating condition of DIVE as well as all branded experiences
- Supports poolside promotions and events, helps in planning, set up and execution
- Responsible for building and maintaining operating statements as well as building annual capital requests.
- Required to achieve plan budget to include managing labor within budgetary guidelines.
- Ensures staff behavior, service provided to guests and appearance are in compliance with established policy. Must show annual Total Service Score shift of no less than 3%, over the prior year in all measured areas
- Assist with training, developing, mentoring and evaluating job performance for staff
- Ensures all disciplinary actions and performance reviews are completed and handled in a timely and efficient manner. Performance reviews must be delivered on or before there due date
- Responsible for hiring and all other related disciplinary actions to include separation
- Ensures that customer problems/complaints are handled in an effective, courteous manner.
- Responsible for ensuring guests are not over served by staff.
- Manages team members, ensuring compliance with all property and department policy’s and procedures, especially the consumption of food not paid for by team members.
- Responsible for planning and executing catered events at the pool.
- Coordinates with Marketing and Food & Beverage departments to ensure flawless execution for all events
- Keeps direct reports well informed and meets with each of them on a weekly basis.
- Enhances Pool revenues by developing activities, cabana salesmanship and maximizing food and beverage sales
- Maintain an appropriate individual training program with all staff members, ensuring the delivery of exceptional guest service.
- Understand commercial awareness in interactions with management and department members.
- Ensures proper POS and guest amenities are maintained at all locations
Physical, Mental & Environmental Demands:
- Must be able to maneuver to all areas of the casino, including all food and beverage service areas.
- Must be able to work independently.
- Must be able to respond calmly and make rational decisions when handling guest and employee conflicts.
- Must be able to quickly and accurately perform mathematical computations.
- Must be able to conduct conversations with customers and employees and speak distinctly and persuasively with others.
- Must have the ability to create written and financial reports.
- Must be able to tolerate areas containing secondary smoke.
- Must be able to work at a fast pace and in stressful situations.
- Must be able to read, write, speak and understand English.
- Must be able to respond to visual and aural cues.
- Must be able to stand for the majority of a working shift on hard surfaces actively managing the guest experience on the pool deck.
- Must be able to work in extreme weather conditions both Hot and Cold environments.
Salary $75k- $80k, depending on experience.
