Responsibilities:
- Oversee the production of daily Instagram content, including feed posts, Reels, Stories, and carousels, ensuring strong visual and editorial quality.
- Maintain and evolve ET’s social aesthetic, ensuring consistency across all Instagram assets.
- Design and create new templates for Instagram posts, optimizing for engagement while maintaining a polished, professional look.
- Collaborate with video editors, producers and newsroom reporters to create engaging content and break news on platform.
- Track, analyze, and report on key performance metrics, using insights to inform strategy and optimize engagement.
- Stay ahead of Instagram trends, algorithm changes, and industry best practices, applying them to ET’s social presence.
- Coordinate coverage for major entertainment events, awards shows, and breaking news, ensuring real-time execution and audience engagement.
- Occasionally work evenings and weekends, particularly around live events and breaking news.
Qualifications:
- 7+ years experience in social media, with at least 2-3 years in a leadership role managing teams in a digital newsroom
- Deep expertise in Instagram content strategy, platform best practices and audience engagement tactics.
- Advanced proficiency in Photoshop, Premiere Pro, and other design tools to produce high-quality social-first visuals.
- Experience covering live events, awards shows and breaking news in a digital newsroom setting.
- Excellent writing and copy-editing skills, with the ability to craft engaging and accurate captions and headlines under tight deadlines.
- Proven ability to analyze data and use insights to drive content decisions and optimize engagement.
- Ability to work under tight deadlines and pivot quickly as the news cycle changes.
- A passion for entertainment news, pop culture, and celebrity journalism.

Hiring Salary Range: $90000.0 – 110000.0.
The hiring salary range for this position applies to New York, California, Colorado, Washington state, and most other geographies.
