JOB SUMMARY:
Reporting to the Director of Athletics, the Head Men’s Soccer Coach will be ultimately responsible for all recruiting, coaching, planning and management of the Greensboro College men’s soccer program.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Adheres to the USA South Athletic Conference and Greensboro College rules and regulations
- Adheres to the NCAA rules and regulations and annually reviews new NCAA legislation
- Recruits qualified student-athletes and consistently communicates recruiting strategies and roster numbers to the Director of Athletics
- Submits requested departmental forms in a timely manner
- Organizes practice plans and schedules contests
- Plans and implements team travel arrangements
- Instrumental in student-athlete development
- Creates a budget plan, regularly monitors expenditures and exercises budget control
- Organizes equipment and apparel purchases, as needed
- Develops fundraising strategies to enhance the overall student-athlete experience
- Transports student-athletes to and from contests, as needed
- Coordinates and develops community outreach programs
- Fully participates in athletic department meetings and initiatives
- Willingness to be an excellent colleague and steward to Greensboro College
- Other duties as assigned by the Director of Athletics
Requirements
- Bachelor’s Degree
- Collegiate soccer coaching experience
