Position Summary:

Motivated and dedicated mental health trainee developing comprehensive clinical skills in the assessment and treatment of mental health disorders. Gaining experience in providing individual and group therapy utilizing evidence-based approaches. Proficient in conducting thorough psychosocial assessments, formulating treatment recommendations, and developing client-centered treatment goals.



Job Description:

  • Develop skills to diagnose and treat mental health disorders using individual and group therapy
  • Develop skills to complete thorough psychosocial assessments
  • Develop skills to make treatment recommendation and develop treatment goals
  • Provide weekly individual and group counseling using evidence based treatments
  • Learn how to effectively terminate a treatment relationship
  • Make referrals as appropriate
  • Practice in an interdisciplinary treatment setting
  • Participate in individual and group supervision
  • Document in an electronic medical record
  • Develop and implement an evaluation project
  • Have an individualized learning agreement
  • Attend weekly intern cohort meeting
  • And other tasks as needed


Qualifications:

  • Graduate Student: Enrolled in a Masters level program
  • Must have a social work or counselor training license
  • Excellent organizational skills
  • Must have good writing skills
  • Dependable and reliable
  • Team-oriented and self-motivated troubleshooter with resourcefulness and initiative
  • Proficient in Microsoft office: Word, Outlook, PowerPoint


Education:

  • Working towards Masters Degree in Social Work or Counseling
  • Other Information:
