ML UI Design Engineer, Swift Platform Experience

Join the SwiftUI tools team to enable developers to design and deliver delightful UI experiences for millions of users across all of our products. As a member of the team you will sit at the intersection of the Swift language, UI frameworks, developer tools, and operating systems. You will push the boundaries of our technology stacks and ML techniques to accelerate developers through rapid iteration and immediate visual feedback with technologies like Previews.

Description

As a member of the SwiftUI tools team, you will focus on using finding and developing machine learning techniques to accelerate the craft of UI design and implementation using SwiftUI. You will help design experiences and implement experiments for Swift and SwiftUI. You will work with frameworks & tools engineers & HI designers to bring your ideas to life through all stages of their development: from initial research, to experimentation & iteration, to developing & scaling in Swift and other technologies, to adoption and integration within our developer tools & frameworks. This position requires a highly creative, curious, and self-motivated individual.

Minimum Qualifications

• Constant curiosity to learn new technologies & discover new techniques to solve ambiguous problems
• Extensive experience with UI design principles
• Clear, open, and collaborative interpersonal skills; capable of working in a multi-disciplinary team
• Proficiency with Swift (or ability to come up to speed quickly)

Preferred Qualifications

• Familiarity with SwiftUI
• Exposure to machine learning concepts such as synthetic data generation, model training & experimentation, and multifaceted evaluation techniques

Pay & Benefits

• At Apple, base pay is one part of our total compensation package and is determined within a range. This provides the opportunity to progress as you grow and develop within a role. The base pay range for this role is between $175,800 and $312,200, and your base pay will depend on your skills, qualifications, experience, and location.
