Network Engineer II – Core Resources Campus Engineering

The Network Engineer II administers, monitors, and maintains the campus network infrastructure that provides network connectivity to New York Presbyterian Hospital and Columbia University Medical Center staff, visitors, and residents. The Network Engineer II reports to the Manager of Core Resources.

This role reports onsite 4 days out of the week.

Preferred Criteria

• CCNA-level mastery of STP, TCP, UDP, HSRP/VRRP, Ethernet, Multicast
• Experience with Cisco and HP Networking hardware and software

Required Criteria

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience
• 2 or more years support experience for network infrastructure products
• Thorough working knowledge of OSI model and the interaction between the layers
• Must be familiar with protocols and technologies including ICMP, SNMP, and TCP/IP, Ethernet, STP

Salary Range:

$90,000-$130,000/Annual
