Job Summary

Nurse In Charge / 36 Hour Night / BWH Neuroscience Intermediate

The Nurse In Charge will be responsible for:
– Partnering with Nursing leadership in planning and implementing patient care at the service/department level.
– Working collaboratively to provide excellent care to patients and families in the safest environment.


Qualifications


Qualifications:

• Current Massachusetts license. Graduate of an approved School of Nursing.



• For external applicants:

– Bachelors or Masters in Nursing required.


• For internal applicants:

– Bachelors or Masters in Nursing preferred. If not, must be enrolled or enroll in a program leading to a Bachelors or Masters in Nursing within 1 year from being appointed to NIC position and must complete such program no later than 6 years after commencing employment as a NIC.



• 2 years of experience in nursing with directly related clinical experience and demonstrated leadership ability.

• Membership in professional organizations is recommended and certification in specialty areas is encouraged.
