DESCRIPTION OF WORK

Our enthusiastic and dedicated nursing staff provides 24-hour care, seven days a week. You will help our residents prepare for their day by assisting with bathing and dressing, distributing meals trays and nutritious snacks, completing Restorative Nursing Programs (RNP), and encouraging participation in exciting activities. This role requires solid care skills and compassion to be attentive and observant of resident conditions as well as promptly report health and behavioral changes to our professional nursing staff. In addition, you will collect specimens for lab work, transport residents, comfortably position residents on furniture, and apply safety devices such as anti-embolism stockings and boots. Through day-to-day contact with our residents, you will have the ability to positively impact their quality of life by providing the best possible care.

Work Schedule and Additional Information:
- Full-time employment, 40 hours per week
- Work hours are 6:45 AM to 3:15 PM, with a 30-minute lunch. You will work rotating days and holidays. You will be required to work every other weekend.
- Telework: You will not have the option to telework in this position.
- Salary: In some cases, the starting salary may be non-negotiable.

REQUIRED EXPERIENCE, TRAINING & ELIGIBILITY

QUALIFICATIONS
Minimum Experience and Training Requirements:
- Active registration as a Nurse Aide in the Pennsylvania Nurse Aide Registry; or
- Six months of paid experience in the care and treatment of geriatric or physically ill patients or residents.
- This position is assigned to a long-term or specialized care facility require active registration as a Nurse Aide in the Pennsylvania Nurse Aide Registry.
Additional Requirements:
- You must be able to perform essential job functions.
Legal Requirements:
- A conditional offer of employment will require a medical examination.
- This position falls under the provisions of the Older Adult Protective Services Act.
- Under the Act, a conditional offer of employment will require submission and approval of satisfactory criminal history reports, including but not limited to, PA State Police and FBI clearance.
