Job Summary

Operating Room Manager/Assistant Nurse Director plans, organizes, implements and oversees clinical and program development within the OR to contribute to meeting the mission and goals of BWFH as well as the regulatory requirements of the JCAHO and other applicable federal, state and local regulatory or accrediting agencies. Responsibilities include oversight of professional nursing practice, planning, management and operation of surgical service to ensure quality patient care for patients in the following age groups: adolescents, adults and geriatrics. The Assistant Director will also assure the practice of the Patient and Family Centered Care Model in an environment that exemplifies best practice.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree Nursing required
• Master’s Degree Nursing preferred
• MA Registered Nurse License required
• Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support preferred
• Basic Life Support Certificate preferred
• Nursing experience 2-3 years required
• Nursing leadership experience 1-2 years preferred
• Strong organizational and interpersonal skills.
• Must have excellent critical thinking and problem-solving skills.
• Strong commitment to clinical excellence.
• Ability to remain calm in stressful situations.
• Knowledgeable of the care required by respective age groups for which care is being provided.
