Position Summary

The Order Fulfillment Manager, is responsible for leading the alignment and execution of the order fulfillment process for the end-to-end Beer Division. The primary role of this individual is to lead their team in ensuring the outbound delivery plan is optimized to meet the targets aligned with distributor management, transportation and warehouse teams to maximize service (On Time, In Full) while balancing the total cost to serve against the weekly S&OE plan.



This role is critical in implementing a new operating model that delivers increased accuracy, visibility and improved order cycle time, resulting in increased customer satisfaction. The Order Fulfillment Manager will accomplish this by defining their team’s tasks, measuring performance and establishing standardized policies and procedures. To do this, this individual will need to demonstrate strong analytical, influencing and continuous improvement skills.

Responsibilities


  • Order Fulfillment Alignment & Execution:
    • Provide the structure, resourcing and governance to lead their team in the ownership of the daily and weekly load building process, leveraging data and analytics to ensure effective optimization and decision-making to balance cost and service.
    • Identify opportunities, gain alignment and influence cross-functional business partners in delivering improved order cycle time for the organization.
    • Own the weekly collaboration process with transportation and warehouse teams to align the forward-looking delivery plan.
    • Identify and implement functional metrics to measure the effectiveness of the order fulfillment process, identifying opportunities to reduce inefficiencies and optimize service.
    • Strategically execute the outbound order plan, handed off from distributor management, ensuring the distributor has the right beer, at the right place, at the right time.
    • Proactively identify risks and opportunities to deliver the aligned billings plan and utilize data and analytics to identify and effectively prioritize key packages orders based on identified priority SKUs.


  • Talent Management:
    • Define, implement and continually re-assess roles and responsibilities within order fulfillment, defining the daily, weekly and monthly expectations of each role, to implement a best-in-class order fulfillment team.
    • Implement tasks & workflows for their team to clearly define and measure activities and performance.
    • Identify, assess and develop training plans for their organization, partnering cross-functionally to build out the roadmap and implementation plan, to support a culture of continuous improvement.
    • Drive performance excellence through rigorous feedback processes, KPI monitoring and continuous improvement initiatives, ensuring alignment with organizational objectives.
    • Recruit, build and develop a team of high performing, supply chain professionals, through continuous training to foster career development and performance excellence through regular feedback, goal setting, and recognition.


  • Continuous Improvement:
    • Establish strong relationships with cross-functional partners including distributor management, sales, transportation and warehousing, utilizing data and analytics to proactively identify areas for improvement that deliver value to the organization in terms of service, total cost and cash flow.
    • Actively seek out and implement industry-leading best practices to drive process improvements and enhance the efficiency and effectiveness of the order fulfillment organization, leveraging data-driven insights.
    • Digital enablement: Partner with advanced analytics to clearly define order fulfillment business objectives, and requirements needed to deliver them, to implement leading technology and digital solutions to improve the order fulfillment processes and communications.
    • Identify opportunities & implement measures for process standardization to enhance overall efficiency and effectiveness within the order fulfillment organization, driving continuous improvement initiatives.


Success Metrics:

  • Customer Service (OTIF) – comparable best in class CPG/Bev Alc
    • Reduce order cycle times through the implementation of a new operating model within order fulfillment
    • Participate in providing insights to post game review of root cause analysis of service failures and implement corrective actions


  • Total Landed Cost Reduction –
    • Drive reduction in inefficient supply chain costs through improved alignment and execution to the S&OE plan
    • Maximize truckload utilization through the load build process, improving the efficiency of outbound deliveries


  • Operational Excellence – Team development and retention, Process improvement implementation, Order fulfillment process effectiveness

Background & Expertise

  • Degree in supply chain, operations or business-related field or equivalent working experience, 6-8 years in supply chain, through proven experience in order fulfillment, logistics, or supply chain management.
  • 3-4 years’ experience leading a team in delivering continued strong results, required.
  • Broad order fulfillment knowledge across logistics, warehousing and distribution, required.
  • Prior experience implementing an operating model enhanced with the tools/resources to support adoption, a plus.
  • In-depth knowledge of ERP systems (preferably SAP), along with prior experience using customer ordering solutions, PowerBI & TMS/WMS, a plus.
  • APICS certification is desirable or willingness to pursue certification.
  • Experience in supply chain role in CPG industry, preferably bev alc.

The salary range for this role is:
$94,400.00 – $144,600.00

This is the lowest to highest salary we in good faith believe we would pay for this role at the time of this posting. Our compensation is based on cost of labor. For remote locations or positions open to multiple locations, the pay range may reflect several US geographic markets, including the lowest geographic market minimum to the highest geographic market maximum. We may ultimately pay more or less than the posted range, and the range may be modified in the future. An employee’s pay position within the salary range will be based on several factors including, but not limited to, the prevailing minimum wage for the location, relevant education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, seniority, geographic location, performance, shift, travel requirements, sales or revenue-based metrics, any collective bargaining agreements, and business or organizational needs.
