Job Description

The Physician Assistant provides high quality medical care to the patients of St. Joseph Medical Center as a member of the Orthopedic Surgery Team.



– cares for individuals with foot and ankle problems

– Will work primarily with 2 surgeons


– Position will be a mix of office and OR

– Flexibility to see patients in Bel Air and Towson offices


– Additional responsibilities include night and weekend call

Qualifications

Education

  • 4 year / Bachelor’s Degree: Physician Assistant (Required)
  • Or MSN or DNP for Nurse Practitioner
  • Master’s Degree (Preferred)

Certification / Licensure / Registration


  • BLS Certification (Required)
  • HCCPA Re-certification exam every six years (Required)
  • Physician Assistant (Required) or Nurse Practitioner
  • Registration from Maryland State Board of Physician Quality Assurance (Required)

Experience and Skills

  • 0 – 1 year Physician Assistant (Required)
  • 2 – 4 years Physician Assistant (Preferred)

Required Skills: Strong critical care patient management experience preferred. Excellent interpersonal skills as well as effective written and oral communication skills. Excellent conflict resolution and negotiation skills.
