We’re seeking an experienced PA to take front line responsibility. Together, we use our brains and hearts to provide the highest level of care imaginable. In the process, experience all the reasons we entered our noble field.

Core Privileges

• Write admission orders as requested by the accepting or admitting physician.
• Perform and document history and physical examination.
• Perform daily assessment, consultations, and documentation.
• Order appropriate laboratory tests and diagnostic studies according to clinical diagnosis, clinical pathways, and protocols.
• Obtain informed consent in conformance with organization policies and procedures.
• Management of patient within the scope of practice.
• Assist with discharge planning/needs of patients and document discharge summary

Core Procedures

• Act as procedural assistant including first and second assist in the operating room.
• Arterial puncture (ABG).
• Insert and remove nasogastric tubes.
• Urinary bladder catheterization (short-term and indwelling).
• Venous punctures for blood sampling, cultures, and IV catheterization.

This position is a 37.5 hours per week opportunity working three day-shifts per week covering the Robotic OR. Must be flexible with hours per week.

Preferred Criteria:

• Experience working in General Surgery
• Epic experience

Required Criteria

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Physician Assistant studies
• Current NYS licensure
• NCCPA certification
• DEA (Drug Enforcement Agency) registration number

$157,000-$184,275/Annual
