Pharmacy Technician (Part-Time)
We are seeking a licensed pharmacy technician for the Pharmacy at TMH in Tallahassee, FL. The ideal candidate will have weekend availability and enjoy interacting with patients.
Responsibilities:
- Adjudicate claims and fill prescriptions efficiently
- Accept written prescriptions or refill requests from patients and evaluate information for completeness and accuracy
- Record medical histories while maintaining confidentiality and compliance with HIPAA regulations
- Deliver quality customer service to patients, responding to inquiries, questions, or requests
- Select and count appropriate medication, place in appropriate container, create pharmacy label, and place completed prescription in area for pharmacist to verify
- Participate in inventory audits and purchasing of medications and pharmacy supplies
Requirements:
- Must be a Registered Pharmacy Technician with the Florida Board of Pharmacy
- Must have weekend availability
- Nationally Certified Pharmacy Technician PTCB / CPhT preferred
- In good standing with the Florida Board of Pharmacy
- Two or more years of Pharmacy Technician experience preferred
- A passion for outstanding customer service, professionalism, and teamwork
- Strong communication skills
Salary: $18-$22 per hour
