ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  1. Collect accurate patient demographic and billing information in a timely
  2. Interview incoming patients and/or review documentation to enter applicable information into all appropriate software.
  3. Be able to perform pre-registration requirements as needed for the Patient Access
  4. Assist with scheduling patients for procedures with Centralized Scheduling as needed to ensure timeliness, accuracy, and compliance.
  5. Assist with financial clearance responsibilities regarding prior authorizations for procedures if
  6. Be able to perform admission duties if
  7. Serve as a liaison between departments and other Patient Access Services
  8. Answer patient questions (via telephone/in person) and give information as
  9. Assist with compiling and reporting data to provide information for error accuracy within the
  10. Promote good relations with patients, facility departments, provides’ offices, and co-
  11. Work to maintain effective practices for maximum efficiency within Patient

EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE:


High School Diploma or GED equivalent required. Medical knowledge experience preferred.

LANGUAGE SKILLS:


Ability to read, analyze, and interpret order requests, insurance information and necessary documents.
Ability to determine and prioritize procedures. Able to communicate effectively both verbally and in
writing.

REASONING ABILITY:


Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions. Ability to interpret
an extensive variety of technical instructions with several abstract and concrete variables. Exercise
good judgement and tact in relating to conflict.
