Position Summary
The Phoenix Children’s “”Connect Care Center”” is hiring a Part Time Patient Placement Coordinator. In this role, you will be providing clinical nursing guidance, and triaging patients on the type of care the hospital offers in all the areas we specialize in. You will also be working with Physicians from all over the country in educating them about the various services we offer our patients. In this unique role, you will work r 2, 8 hour shift (16 hours/week or 32 hours every pay period). The scheduled shift is 11 PM ? 7 AM. There is a weekend shift requirement, and that is every third weekend. Phoenix Children’s does offer a 15% night shift differential. And the weekend shift differential is an additional $2.50/hr. This role is critical in managing the patients who are being admitted or discharged to the hospital.
This position is accountable for coordination and acceptance of information regarding direct admissions and transfers to Phoenix Children`s Hospital. Responsibilities also include coordinating all aspects of patient placement within the facilities, and partnering with nursing and other clinical operation departments to facilitate patient access, throughput, and capacity.
Education
- Two year (ADN) degree in nursing, a four year degree (BSN) in nursing, or a Diploma Nursing degree. (Required)
- Bachelor`s degree in Nursing or currently enrolled in an RN to BSN program. (Preferred)
Experience
- Two years Clinical RN experience. (Required)
- Pediatric experience. (Required)
Certifications
- Current State of Arizona RN license or an RN license from a compact state with multistate privileges or the ability to establish licensure according to Arizona law prior to start date. (Required)
- Current BLS certification for Healthcare Provider from the American Heart Association.
(Required) - Current PALS certification.
