About the Role

InvestCloud is looking for a talented candidate with at least 3 years of experience in Performance Engineering. This position will be at an individual contributor level as part of a collaborative, fast-paced team.

What does a great Performance Test Engineer do?

As a Performance Test Engineer, you'll be responsible for ensuring the reliability and scalability of our software through performance testing. A strong InvestCloud Performance Test Engineer collaborates with teams to design and execute performance tests, analyze results, and drive optimizations.

How you will provide meaningful contributions:

Performance Testing

• Develop and execute performance test plans based on system and application requirements
• Conduct load, stress, volume, concurrency and endurance testing.
• Identify performance bottlenecks, issues, and provide recommendations based on findings

Test Automation

• Create automated performance test scripts.
• Integrate tests into CI/CD pipelines.

Collaboration

• Work with cross-functional teams to understand requirements.
• Provide insights for performance improvements.

Reporting and Analysis

• Generate comprehensive test reports.
• Collaborate with developers to resolve issues.

Basic Qualifications for Consideration:

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related field.
• 3 years of experience in performance testing.
• Good understanding of the interplay of software and the hardware it runs on, in terms of performance implications
• Experience with performance test tools, such as Microfocus (Formerly HP’s) Load Runner and/or Performance Center.
• Good hands on working knowledge of script development utilizing different protocols offered by LoadRunner in particular Web/Http, Web Services, RTE.
• Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Effective communication and collaboration abilities.
• Familiarity with Agile methodologies.
• Experience with Unix, Linux, or variant
• Working knowledge of Windows-based systems
• Experience with relational databases
• Performance monitoring tools such as AppDynamics, Splunk, Dynatrace

Preferred Skills / Experience

• Knowledge of other tools like JMeter is a plus
• Script development experience desired (e.g., Korn shell, C shell, Awk, Perl, PowerShell, etc)
• Industry experience in investment management or financial services preferred

The actual salary will vary based on applicant’s education, experience, skills, and abilities, as well as internal equity and alignment with market data. The salary may also be adjusted based on the applicant’s geographic location. Salary range: $80,000-110,000
