Responsibilities

1. Provide support to the CBP CMO in medical direction and oversight of CBP medical support to operations, including the medical quality management program, emergency management and contingency response efforts, and the EMR system.
2. Provide support to the CBP Emergency Medical Services Program and offer recommendations for modifications to improve identified deficits.
3. Support CBP medical data and information analysis efforts.
4. Authorize prescriptions for medical supplies and equipment through physician certifications, licenses, and responsibilities.
5. Provide medical support specific to position responsibilities as further specified upon exercise of the government option.

Requirements

1. License: current unrestricted state license to practice medicine
2. Degree: Doctor of Medicine or Osteopathy Degree from an accredited institution
3. Certifications: board-certification in a relevant medical specialty field
4. Experience: significant experience in medical program leadership, including electronic medical record management, medical data and information management, and medical quality management
5. Significant operational medicine experience (law enforcement, military, or humanitarian) required
