The Calibre nmPlatform integrates with all major custom design tools, place and route systems, and a wide range of specialty design tools. Calibre Interfaces bring the power of Calibre sign-off engines to designers throughout the design flow, enabling early detection and correction of manufacturing issues. The Calibre Interactive and RVE results viewer provide fast, flexible, easy-to-use graphical invocation and debugging capabilities that minimize your turnaround time and get you to “tapeout-clean” on schedule. The Product Engineer is essential to connecting our talented engineering team with the needs of customers, as well as deploying and supporting those solutions to the extended customer base.

Responsibilities Include:


Solutions Development

  • Understand customer design flows and facilitate discussions with design and CAD teams to reach a common understanding of customer need
  • Define product requirements and prioritize release contents and schedules
  • Manage quarterly release priorities and partner with engineering, QA, documentation, and the field to ensure smooth development, testing, and deployment of new features and products
  • Responsible for identifying trends and gaps with existing systems and solutions, especially in physical design and verification.
  • Partner with engineering, global support, and customers to define and bring new features and products to market that leverage the Calibre platform
  • Build test cases for engineering and QA to implement and test new features

Production Support


  • Support internal and external customers to demonstrate and deploy new features
  • Prepare and deploy marketing materials to support sales and adoption
  • Lead technical presentations, demonstrations, evaluations, and benchmarks

  • Documenting processes and compiling app notes/user manuals for the Product Management team and customers

Job Qualifications

The successful candidate will possess the following combination of education and experience:


  • BS degree (or equivalent) in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering or related field is required. MS degree is preferred.
  • 2+ years of professional experience with EDA tools. Physical implementation and verification preferred.
  • Good experience with a scripting language is required. TCL, PERL, or Python are acceptable
  • Ability to work with international cross-functional teams across different time zones
  • Successful technical, analytical and problem-solving
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with multiple simultaneous projects
  • Strong written and verbal communication and presentation skills, including the ability to interact with multiple customer levels
  • Good negotiation and conflict management skills
  • Ability to travel up to 25%, including internationally

The salary range for this position is $87,600 to $157,700 and this role is eligible to earn incentive compensation. The actual compensation offered is based on the successful candidate’s work location as well as additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education/training.
