Many of our products are conceived, designed, and implemented as a joint project with key customers.



The Product Support & Development – Engineer II reports directly to the company’s General Manager. The successful candidate will have a degree in Engineering and 3+ years of experience in leading projects and with programmable controllers.

As an Engineer II, the employee will perform tasks with limited supervision and will require substantial use of independent judgment withing the scope of advanced engineering assignments. You will work with documentation and drawings to support our products, and you will be familiar with software programs including Parker IQAN.

As Product Support & Development – Engineer II, you will lead projects for new products, as well as projects to improve functionality of existing products.

Some projects will require you to independently lead from concept through implementation. Other projects will require you to work with a team to support and develop our systems.

You will also support legacy products. Starting wage is $85,000 and upwards based on skills, qualifications, and experience.

QUALIFICATIONS:
• Degree in Electrical Engineering, Electrical Engineering Technology, Mechatronics, or similar Engineering discipline
• Education and/or Experience or a combination of the two will also be considered
• Experience with engineering related to electronic, mechanical, and hydraulic controls
• 3+ Years Experience with control logic programming and project leading.

Experience with IQAN software is a plus.
• Experience and/or knowledge of hydraulic systems
• Strong mechanical aptitude and willingness to learn outside of existing areas of expertise
• Experience in project design implementation and leading projects
• Good oral and written communication skills and ability to work with a variety of roles including intercompany employees, vendors, our distributors, and the end customers who use our products. Ability to work with customers in roles from hands on roles up to top level managers
• Must have the ability to listen to customers and seek to understand their needs to determine how we can make our products meet those needs
• Willing to work in fast paced setting, able to handle change, and utilize creative energy to solve problems
• Must have a valid driver’s license and willing to have a motor vehicle report completed to ensure individual is insurable under the company automobile insurance policy
• CDL license is a plus, or willingness to obtain a CDL license



KNOWLEDGE/SKILLS/ABILITIES:
• Self-starter requiring limited supervision
• Good communication and organization skills
• Skilled user of Microsoft Office Products
• Experience of troubleshooting electronic, mechanical, and hydraulic systems
• Familiarity with electrical, hydraulic, and mechanical drawings
• Familiarity with programmable controls. (IQAN experience is a plus)
• Familiarity with telematics and location technologies is desired
• Familiarity with CAN bus technologies is desirable
• Willingness to do hands-on work when needed
• Willingness to get dirty occasionally.
• Willingness to learn and work outside of box



DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:
• Lead projects from design through implementation with customers, including prototype building, testing, and establishment of specifications to achieve required performance, reliability, manufacturability, and market competitiveness
• Preparation of product manuals and training materials, and documents technical aspects of projects
• Identify product performance and cost improvements
• Work with cross-functional team (design, manufacturing plant personnel, purchasing, distributors, and customers) in support of new projects and existing systems
• Some overnight travel is required (customer visits, trade shows, etc.)
