Responsibilities*
- Coordinate and manage strategic initiatives, programs, and projects related to nursing operations and data analytics.
- Utilize project management expertise to enhance system effectiveness, ensuring projects are completed on time,
within budget, and to specifications. - Conduct data analysis, implement performance improvement plans, and make recommendations for strategic action
based on nursing data. - Develop and analyze dashboards and data visualizations using tools such as NDNQI and Tableau, and Qgenda to
inform decision-making. - Collaborate with nursing leadership and interdisciplinary teams to integrate research and evidence-based practices
into clinical operations. - Create and lead processes that connect clinical performance data with performance improvement initiatives.
- Provide leadership and guidance on strategic initiatives, ensuring alignment with organizational goals and effective
use of resources. - Engage in organizational alignment activities, fostering communication and integration among departments.
- Mentor and build capacity within nursing teams to utilize data analytics for improved patient care and outcomes.
- Represent the CNE on internal and external committees, managing complex issues and fostering collaborative
initiatives. - Responsible for executive level presentations
- Directly manage and lead a team of professionals in executing strategic projects and initiatives, ensuring alignment
with the organization’s goals. - Provide supervision, coaching, and development to team members, fostering a collaborative and high-performance
environment.
Required Qualifications*
- Master s degree in Nursing, Health Care Administration, Business Administration, or a related field.
- Minimum of 5-10 years of progressive leadership experience in both the inpatient and outpatient healthcare setting with demonstrated project management capabilities.
- Strong knowledge of data analytics and data visualization tools
- Proven ability to design, implement, and evaluate large-scale projects and strategic initiatives.
- Excellent communication, analytical, and interpersonal skills.
- Expertise in working with diverse, interdisciplinary teams, promoting evidence-based practice improvements.
Desired Qualifications*
- Project Management Certification (e.g., PMP).
- Experience in an academic medical center environment.
- Familiarity with University of Michigan policies and procedures.
- Experience with web page creation and editing.
- This role is designed to enhance the strategic capabilities of the nursing leadership team, driving evidence-based improvements and leveraging data analytics for superior patient care outcomes.
Modes of Work

Background Screening
Michigan Medicine conducts background screening and pre-employment drug testing on job candidates upon acceptance of a contingent job offer and may use a third party administrator to conduct background screenings.
