Quality Control Specialist

Pay: $20.50/HR.

Hours: Monday – Saturday 7AM-6PM

Job type: Temp to Hire


Location: South Oklahoma City, Oklahoma

Job Description:


The Quality Control Specialist is crucial in upholding the commitment to quality and safety. This role involves thorough monitoring and inspection of products throughout the manufacturing process and ensuring they meet standards before being shipped for delivery.

Duties/ Responsibilities:


Shop Print Interpretation: Accurately read and interpret shop prints relevant to your area.

Product Inspection: Conduct detailed inspections of pieces within your designated area.


Issue Resolution: Collaborate with welders, fitters, operators, and associates to address and resolve any issues.

Policy Compliance: Provide guidance on codes, policies, and procedures, particularly regarding tolerances.


Documentation: Complete all required documents, such as Non-Conformance Reports (NCRs), manifests, and safety observation cards, fully and promptly.

Policy Adherence: Follow company and attendance policies rigorously.


Safety Compliance: Adhere to safety protocols specific to your assigned area.

Additional Tasks: Perform any other duties as assigned by supervisors.


Required Qualifications:

  • Welding Experience: At least 2 years of welding experience (Certified Welding Inspector certification not required).
  • Measurement Accuracy: Proficiency in reading a tape measure to 1/16th inch with speed and accuracy.
  • Operational Understanding: Comprehensive understanding of the plant’s overall operations.
  • Print Reading: Expertise in reading and understanding shop prints.
  • Coordination Skills: Ability to coordinate effectively with Shop Supervisors to prevent work delays.
  • Inspection Tools Proficiency: Skilled in using various inspection tools.
  • Communication Skills: Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Problem-Solving: Strong problem-solving abilities.

Preferred requirements:


  • Familiarity with the AWS D1.1 welding code.
  • Previous Inspection Experience
