The position will play a key role overviewing the quality of the production in their manufacturing site in Austin. You will be the responsible of the communication between client and team based in Mexico. The Quality Resident acts as the primary quality liaison between the manufacturing site and the customer, ensuring that any concerns are promptly addressed and resolved.

Contract Location


  • Permanent contract — Full time.
  • On-site in manufacturing site.

Key Responsibilities

  • Customer Interface: Act as the primary point of contact for the customer regarding quality issues. Provide relevant information to support in addressing and resolve customer complaints and concerns related to product quality. Conduct regular meetings and communicate quality report and on going actions with the customer.
  • Quality Control: Monitor and inspect products to ensure they meet customer specifications and standards. Provide information to support root cause analysis and implementation of corrective actions for any quality issues identified.
  • Documentation and Reporting: Maintain accurate and up-to-date quality records, including inspection reports, non-conformance reports, and corrective action plans. Prepare and present quality reports to internal teams and customers as required.
  • Participate in continuous improvement activities such as Kaizen events, Six Sigma projects, etc. as required to provide the customer side view.
  • Training and Development: Provide training and guidance to sorting inspectors or customer operational people if is required
  • Define and instruct for inspection methodologies in customer side.
  • Send notification/alerts to the organization about any customer claim or concern.
  • Sort material at customer site if is necessary

Qualification Work Experience


  • Technical Degree.
  • At least 4 years combined experience in automotive manufacturing environment and customer service.
  • Experience with quality tools and techniques such as root cause analysis.
  • Problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Ability to work in a manufacturing environment, including standing and walking for extended periods.
  • Ability to lift and carry materials up to (specify weight).
  • The position is based at customer locations and suppliers as needed.
