Key Responsibilities1. Patient Care & Oral Health EducationEducate patients on proper oral hygiene techniques, including brushing, flossing, and nutrition.Provide guidance on preventive dental care and lifestyle choices that affect oral health.2.
Preventive & Clinical ServicesPerform professional teeth cleanings (scaling and polishing) to remove plaque, tartar, and stains.Apply fluoride treatments and dental sealants to prevent cavities.Read dental X-rays for diagnostic purposes.3. Assessment & DocumentationExamine patients teeth and gums to detect signs of oral diseases, such as gingivitis or cavities.Record patients medical and dental histories for the dentist to review.4.
Collaboration with Dentists & Office TasksAssist dentists during examinations and procedures when needed.Sterilize dental instruments and maintain hygiene protocols in the clinic.Manage patient records and schedule follow-up appointments.
