Job Summary
Summary
Responsible for assisting with patient care including organization, clean-up of treatment areas, and office duties as needed under the direction of a Physical Therapist or supervisor.

Essential Functions
-Assists therapists and assistants with patient care.
-Assists in daily upkeep of physical environment, linen, and equipment maintenance.
-Meets regularly with Rehab staff to update therapy programs and assess effectiveness.
-Is alert for patient safety at all times.
-Cleans therapy mats daily utilizing established departmental procedures.
-Assist the Rehabilitation Therapist with treatment as directed.
Qualifications
Education
Bachelor’s Degree Related Field of Study required or Doctor of Physical Therapy Physical Therapy preferred

Licenses and Credentials
Grace Period for License Eligibility [Massachusetts] – MGB Internal preferred
Experience
In doctoral program and completing final internship 0-1 year required
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities

– Demonstrated interest in pursuing a career in physical therapy.
– Knowledge of medical terminology.
– Strong patient/customer service skills.
– Ability to assist with medical examinations and procedures.
– Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
