Responsibilities*



Dr. Lana Garmire is seeking a Research Associate II – Temp to develop computational models to predict pancreatic cancers diagnosis, subtyping, prognosis, and personalized therapeutic treatment using a compendium of single cell and spatial transcriptomics, imaging, pathology, genomics and clinical data; conduct both independent research and collaboration with other pancreatic cancer scientists; assist in the development of research proposals; perform responsible administrative work, including the supervision of undergraduates and new master students.

Required Qualifications*


The ideal candidate should:

  1. Hold a master’s degree in a quantitative science field with strong academic standing (e.g., Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, Data Science, Bioinformatics, or (Bio)Statistics).
  2. Be proficient in programming using common statistical languages such as R or Python.
  3. Be familiar with Linux OS, working in virtual environments, and batch scripting.
  4. Possess knowledge of Machine Learning, Deep Learning, or AI modeling.
  5. Demonstrate strong written and oral communication skills.
  6. Be a collaborative team player.
