Andaz San Diego resides in the heart of the Gaslamp and at the forefront of hospitality. The hotel features 159 guestrooms, over 18,000 square feet of event space, and one of downtown’s largest rooftop! Andaz San Diego is seeking passionate individuals to bring their unique spin on service to this award-winning hotel.



The Responsibilities for this position may include:

  • Reporting to the Director of Operations and working closely with the Executive Chef, Marketing, and other hotel departments
  • Leading and directing the daily operations of the venue and consistently delivering an exceptional guest and colleague experience
  • Hiring, training, development, and promotion of team members
  • Leading front of house (FOH) and back of house (BOH) teams while fostering our Culture of Care
  • Driving sales, managing costs, and growing the business. This includes developing and implementing creative strategies for revenue enhancement and profitability
  • Managing all beverage inventories and beer, liquor, and wine vendor relationships
  • Planning and managing all Rooftop, Gallery and Wine Room activations, special events, and holiday functions
  • Developing budgets and marketing plans while ensuring their success
  • Partnering with local promoters and actively selling the space to drive engagement and revenue
  • Maintaining high energy, a positive attitude, and a casual but professional appearance

This role entails running the best shift which may include: leading pre-shift meetings and running line, temperature, and cooler checks, overseeing all closing duties, reviewing labor sheets, updating and maintaining side work and cleanliness standards, maintaining organization of the space.

The salary range for this position is $66,100 to $95,700 . This is the pay range for this position that Andaz reasonably expects to pay. Decisions regarding individual salaries will be based on a number of factors, such as experience and education.

Qualifications

  • Full Time Management Position that requires full flexibility, ability to work weekends and holidays and a varied schedule
  • A true desire to understand and anticipate the needs of others in a fast-paced environment
  • Refined verbal and written communication skills
  • Must be proficient in general computer knowledge, including a working knowledge of point-of-sale systems
  • Candidates should be detail oriented and organized with refined time management skills
  • Candidates should possess proven leadership skills
  • Candidates should possess strong food and beverage knowledge and a thorough understanding of restaurant service
  • Previous experience as a Restaurant Manager preferred
