Job Title: Restorative Certified Nursing Assistant

Summary:

The Restorative Certified Nursing Assistant performs patient-related restorative nursing functions as predetermined and assigned by the Restorative Nurse, in accordance with applicable laws, regulations, and Life Care standards.


Salary:$45,000 – $55,000 per year (dependent on location)

Key Responsibilities:


  • Makes independent decisions when circumstances warrant such action
  • Knowledgeable of practices and procedures, as well as laws, regulations, and guidelines governing functions in post-acute care facilities
  • Implements and interprets programs, goals, objectives, policies, and procedures of the department
  • Performs proficiently in all competency areas, including patient rights and safety and sanitation
  • Maintains professional working relationships with associates, vendors, etc.
  • Maintains confidentiality of proprietary and/or confidential information
  • Understands and follows company policies, including harassment and compliance procedures
  • Displays integrity and professionalism by adhering to Life Care’s Code of Conduct and completes mandatory Code of Conduct and other appropriate compliance training

Essential Functions:

  • Lifts, turns, moves, positions, and transports patients
  • Assists patients with baths, showers, personal grooming, feeding, and toileting
  • Accurately documents and charts patient care
  • Responds to call lights promptly
  • Provides physician-ordered exercise to each patient
  • Exhibits excellent customer service and a positive attitude towards patients
  • Assists in the evacuation of patients
  • Demonstrates dependable, regular attendance
  • Concentrates and uses reasoning skills and good judgment
  • Communicates and functions productively on an interdisciplinary team
  • Sits, stands, bends, lifts, pushes, pulls, stoops, walks, reaches, and moves intermittently during working hours
  • Reads, writes, speaks, and understands the English language


Requirements:

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Graduate of a State-approved CNA program
  • Currently registered/licensed in applicable state
  • Must maintain an active license in good standing throughout employment
  • Completed restorative nursing training
  • One (1) year geriatric nursing experience preferred
  • CPR certification upon hire or obtain during orientation
