The Group Sales Manager is a sales department job in the hotel with a performance quota. These individuals handle special accounts or a specific role and carry an account base or a quota. Develops new leads and researches new business potential within an assigned market. Makes direct calls to potential clients and manages internet-based lead websites. This position is responsible for booking short-term meetings for the hotel and is fast-paced.
In addition, this position will have service responsibilities for their specified market. These responsibilities include managing the executed sales agreement, detailing room block and audio-visual meeting needs, identifying ways to enhance the experience, effectively manage room blocks, understanding group history and pick-up performance, familiarizing the client with Hyatt’s planner technology, being the group onsite point of contact, conducting all administrative tasks, group billing management and finalizing post-convention reports.

Qualifications
• A true desire to satisfy the needs of others in a fast-paced environment.
• Refined verbal and written communication skills.
• Prefer 1-2 years of previous Sales experience.
• Candidates should be extremely detail-oriented, organized and be able to handle a fast-paced environment
• Must be proficient in the following computer programs: Envision Sales, Envision Detailing Event Concierge Application, Event Concierge Console, Cognos, Hy-Res, Opera, Sertifi, Hyatt Credit Portal, Group Bill, Planner Portal, and Microsoft Office. Reserve and Opera experience are a plus.
