Security Engineering Manager, AWS Threat Intelligence, ACTI

Job Description

Amazon

DESCRIPTION

We are open to hiring candidates to work out of one of the following locations:

Annapolis Junction, MD, USA | Arlington, VA, USA | Herndon, VA, USA | New York, NY, USA

The AWS Threat Intelligence (AWS TI) team, part of Amazon Cyber Threat Intelligence (ACTI), is responsible for developing actionable intelligence on advanced cyber threats to AWS services and AWS customers. We obtain indicators and other intelligence from a variety of internal and external sources and use that information to develop an understanding of sophisticated actors and their tools, techniques, and procedures (TTPs). We leverage that understanding to proactively identify and mitigate malicious activity.

We are looking for an experienced security leader who has hands-on cyber threat intelligence experience to join ACTI. As the manager of AWS TI, you will lead AWS TI’s critical mission safeguarding not only AWS services, but also protecting AWS customers and ensuring AWS is not leveraged by cyber threat actors.

We’re looking for a leader that’s highly passionate about threat intelligence in cloud environments and about building a high performing security team. Ideally you have a track record of building and growing cyber threat intelligence teams in a fast-paced environment where dealing with ambiguity and making sound judgments is key. You should know how to prioritize, communicate clearly and compellingly, and understand how to drive outcomes and excellence with a strong team.

A Security Engineering Manager must foster constructive dialogue and seek resolution when confronted with discordant views. Leaders in this role are expected to participate fully in the planning of their team’s work and constantly seek opportunities for process improvement and personnel development. A successful candidate will need a combination of troubleshooting, technical, and communication skills, as well as the ability to handle a mix of disparate tasks which may include automation, project management, and security engineering work. This role will provide career growth opportunities as you gain new security skills in the course of your duties, particularly in the constantly evolving field of cyber threat intelligence.

This position requires that the candidate selected be a US Citizen.
