The Royal Caribbean Group’s Revenue Management Team has an exciting career opportunity for a full time Senior Analyst, Data Revenue Strategy reporting to the Manager of Commercial Strategy and Analytics.

Position is onsite and based in Miami, FL


Position Summary:

The Senior Data Analyst will support the Manager of Commercial Strategy and Analytics for any Business Intelligence, data-driven, and reporting related responsibilities to support the commercial strategy and revenue management teams. This person is responsible to create, maintain, enhance, and refresh with a frequent cadence all internal data workflows and tables for the commercial strategy team. This person is also the POC for the entire Commercial PowerBI suite, which comes with the responsibility of ongoing support of existing dashboards as well as creation of new ones as required. This person will support multiple teams across the organization with ad hoc data pulls as well as analysis to support business driven decision making. This individual is responsible to provide weekly metrics review as well as bi-weekly presentation of such metrics to leadership to drive commercial insights. This role will also support in the technical aspects of the Sourcing Optimization and Sourcing Profitability projects. Aside from the responsibilities described above, this person will need to be readily available to get involved on any ad hoc projects that teams may need help with.



Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Creates new PBI dashboards and Knime workflows to support ongoing dynamic business needs.
  • Maintains and enhances existing PowerBI dashboards on the Commercial Strategy PBI Suite for ongoing improvements.
  • Works as the POC or owner of the Commercial Strategy PowerBI suite, which requires sending any necessary communications, providing ongoing follow ups to any ad hoc requests, as well as answering any questions that may arise from suite users.
  • Oversees weekly production and distribution of extensive metrics reviews, highlighting overall business health and ad-hoc gap analyses on product performance that allow for quick insights and immediate decision making.
  • Presents biweekly metrics updates to senior Revenue Management leadership and executives (AVP’s, VP’s & SVP’s), providing data-driven recommendations to facilitate strategic planning and improve business outcomes.
  • Supports in the technical aspects of identifying profitability levels by market and State to drive pricing strategies and optimal sourcing allocation.
  • Leverages both technical and advanced mathematical skills to procure, interpret, and convert data into insightful analyses that inform business decisions and facilitate commercial reporting.
  • Enhances data management processes through advanced SQL queries and analytics platforms, managing and creating workflows that generate and maintain complex forecasting models as well as internal data sources.
  • Responsible for development of new models, as well as improvements to our current models, used to create and maintain internal datasets.
  • Employs technical and analytical skillset to incorporate and scale predictive analytics into commercial reporting that informs business decisions and product management while optimizing revenue.

Qualifications, Knowledge and Skills:


  • Master of Business Administration (MBA) or master’s degree (MA) preferred but not required.
  • Bachelor’s degree (BA) from four-year college or university required with focus in quantitative discipline preferred.
  • One to Three years of related experience in financial / business analysis or related field preferred. Familiarization with revenue management concepts and tools preferred.
  • Must be able to demonstrate understanding of Revenue Management concepts and tools or basic economics.
  • Previous experience with Sales, Marketing, Analytics preferred but not required.
  • Previous experience in implementing system enhancements and decision-making tools preferred but not required.
  • Demonstrated ability to develop and deliver high quality, clear and concise presentations.
  • Demonstrated experience in project management.
  • Proficiency in Excel, Alteryx or Knime Analtyics, Brio Intelligence/Hyperion Studio, Oracle SQL, PowerBI or Tableau, Word, and PowerPoint required and ability to manipulate data essential.
  • Knowledge of reservations system and revenue management data preferred but not required.
  • Attention to detail required.
  • Willingness to accept immediate product and project responsibility.
  • Ability to operate in a team environment.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills and demonstrated maturity. Demonstrated aptitude for problem solving and problem identification.
  • Ability to collect, analyze and interpret revenue performance data.
  • Ability to logically structure quantitative analyses of complex issues.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills and ability to work in global environment.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects and responsibilities at once.
